El objetivo de este programa de investigación es producir realista 3D porosidad modelos de materiales naturales y artificiales. Las técnicas que caracterizan red de poros están integrados en las rocas graníticas, arcillas, suelos, cementos y grafito con el fin de entender cómo distribución de la porosidad se relaciona con mineralogía y cuantificar la relación entre las propiedades de transporte (difusión / permeabilidad) y mineralogía.
